Afternoon Arts To-Go! An Upcoming Youth Art Program

Beginning Tuesday, January 19th, through February 23, the Floyd Center for the Arts will present an exciting new 6-week take-out art project program designed for children ages 6-12. For $15 children can participate in the entire 6-week program (paid in advance) or involvement can be pay-as-you-go ($3 per each week). Participating children will pick up their all-supplies-included* project kit at the Center each week. These fun art kits include projects in collage, faux stained-glass design, painting and weaving, to name a few.

*(Scissors or other common household tools aren't provided in the kit, but will be available upon request to children without access to these tools).

Children Will Have the Opportunity to Explore Their Creativity and

Make Artworks Such as These!

Participants will be invited to share photos of completed projects with the Center for inclusion in a rotating slideshow on our website, allowing the young artists and others the opportunity to see the various creative results of each project. 'Afternoon Arts To-Go' projects are sure to spark imagination, offer a point to ponder, and to expose youngsters to the many benefits of making things with their own hands. Advance registration required. To register and for more information, please contact the Center’s front desk at 540-745-2784 or info@floydarcenter.org.
