The Floyd Living Traditions Festival Returns August 22, 2026

The Floyd Center for the Arts is excited to announce the return of the Floyd Living Traditions Festival on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 10 AM to 5 PM. This free, family-friendly celebration brings together the music, craft, stories, and traditions that make Floyd County such a special place to live and visit.

Now in its fourth year, the festival has quickly become one of Floyd County's signature cultural events. In 2025, more than 1,900 people attended, making it one of the largest community celebrations in the county and the largest event ever hosted by the Floyd Center for the Arts.

Presented by the Floyd Center for the Arts in partnership with the Floyd Country Store's Handmade Music School, the festival honors the rich artistic heritage of Appalachia while celebrating the artists, musicians, makers, and tradition bearers who continue to keep these traditions alive today.

Festival Kickoff Celebration

The celebration begins on Friday evening, August 21, with a special Floyd Living Traditions Festival kickoff during the Friday Night Jamboree at the Floyd Country Store. Additional details about the kickoff event will be announced soon.
