Join us at the “Floyd Center for the Arts Gallery” at the Hotel Floyd on Friday, September 13, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
This Wine and Art Reception will feature Mark Cox, a wildlife artist, as well as jewelry artist, Julie Arrington, and pottery artist, Hannah Martin. At about 6:00, Tim & Julie Block from our featured local winery, Villa Appalachia, will give a short talk, followed by a gallery talk by painter, Mark Cox. After a 10-minute break, our pottery artist, Hannah Martin, and jewelry artist, Julie Arrington will also speak about their art.
The reception will be free and open to the public. Art on exhibit will be available for purchase, and Italian inspired wines of Villa Appalaccia will also be for sale by the glass or by the bottle.
Work by this rotation of local artists will be on exhibit and for sale at the Hotel Floyd on the night of the Reception and also for the following two months. After which, future Wine & Art Receptions will take place on the 2nd Friday of every other month, from 5-7 p.m., at the Hotel Floyd.
All Floyd Center for the Arts Wine & Art Receptions are held at the Hotel Floyd inside the beautiful Floyd Center for the Arts satellite gallery (across from the main desk inside the Hotel Floyd). The Receptions are open to the public and include FREE appetizers, a wine bar, and the opportunity to interact with the artists and wine staff.
