Erica Ann Sipes Performs Piano Works by Women

Saturday, April 18 | 4:00–6:00 PM | Fallon Community Hall

Tickets: $30 General Admission Students: Free

The Floyd Center for the Arts invites you to an inspiring afternoon of live piano music with Erica Ann Sipes, a Virginia Commission for the Arts Touring Artist, featuring powerful works by women composers from around the world.

Spanning more than 300 years of music history, this thoughtfully curated program brings forward voices that have too often gone unheard. Through both music and storytelling, the performance offers an engaging experience that blends artistry, history, and discovery—welcoming both seasoned classical music listeners and those new to the concert experience.

The program features music by Marianna Martines, Florence Price, Margaret Bonds, Germaine Tailleferre, Mélanie Bonis, Lili Boulanger, Anna von Schaden, Dora Pejačević, and Madeleine Dring—composers whose work is only now gaining wider recognition as musicians and scholars continue to expand and reexamine the classical repertoire.
