On Saturday and Sunday, May 2 and 3, the grounds of the Floyd Center for the Arts will once again be transformed into an old-world village square for the Center’s 3rd Annual Mayfaire. All are welcome to join in this family-friendly free event, which includes art and craft vendors, live music, artisan demonstrations, kids’ activities and lots more. In previous years, this included blacksmith demonstrations, hula-hoop workshop, Maypole dances, make and take craft activities, artisan demonstrations, and more! Festive, renaissance and spring fairy attire are all welcome and encouraged! Along with all of the amazing artisanal items available, fairy crowns, face painting and other hand-made festive goodies were also available for sale. The event hours are 10 am – 5 pm on Saturday, and 11 am – 5 pm on Sunday. Please view the artisan vendor application for more details.
