Join the Floyd Center for the Arts for a special artist talk with Donald Sunshine, whose exhibition Landmarks: The Rock Churches and the White Churches of the Blue Ridge is currently on view in the Falcon Gallery.

Inspired by years of exploring the Blue Ridge, Sunshine's paintings celebrate the historic rock and white churches that have served as enduring landmarks and gathering places throughout the region. Through careful observation and artistic interpretation, his work captures the character, history, and sense of place embodied by these treasured community landmarks.

During this free artist talk, Donald will share the inspiration behind the exhibition, his creative process, and the stories of the churches and communities that influenced this remarkable body of work. Guests will gain a deeper understanding of the cultural significance of these historic buildings and have the opportunity to engage in conversation with the artist during a question-and-answer session.
