Open in the Hayloft Gallery October 11 - November 29, 2025
Juried by Brian Holcombe, Curator at the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech, New Works 2025 showcases 45 regional artists from Virginia, North Carolina, and West Virginia. Featuring 62 works across a wide range of media — including ceramics, wood, glass, fiber, metal, photography, and mixed media — the exhibition highlights the energy and innovation of contemporary art being made within 150 miles of Floyd.

This year’s juror, Brian Holcombe, noted that jurying the show was “a true honor — the work reflects inventiveness, skill, and a deep curiosity about the world around us.”

Award Recipients:
🥇 The Undoing of Being – AnaMarie Liddell

🥈 Souls Need the Second World – Sung Eun Park

🥉 …these very rich hours #6… – Charlie Brouwer

Together, these works reveal an ongoing conversation about place, process, and perspective — showcasing the depth of talent in our region’s art community.
Savannah Penven, the Exhibitions Program Manager at the Center for the Arts at VT represented Brian and gave opening remarks and presented awards. Savannah also has 3 works in the show!
