Video: 'Farewell Ode to Winter' - Rina Lucas, Staff & Palette

Staff & Palette has recently released “Farewell Ode to Winter - A Virtual Performance.” This multimedia homage to the coldest, darkest season of the year was filmed at The Floyd Center for the Arts by Jacob Dillinger of MNF Productions. The performance includes virtual piano by Arshak Sirunyan, and voice, poetry, and paint by Rina Lucas.

Soprano Rina Lucas is known for her powerful instrument, effortless range, and musical versatility. Comfortable in multiple genres, Rina is sought after as a soloist for weddings, recitals, concerts, and other special occasions. She was delighted to make her debut as the soprano soloist with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra for Handel’s Messiah at Mt. Zion AME Church in 2018 and return to this diverse stage in 2019.

In addition to her accomplishments as a vocalist, Rina is also a gifted visual artist working primarily in oils. Poetry accompanies every painting to further illuminate what is brushed onto the canvas. She recently made her first appearance with Piccolo Spoleto 2019 as a featured artist in voice, paint, and poetry for two productions including her own solo show, “Seasons: A Visual and Vocal Journey” alongside composer/pianist Arshak Sirunyan, with MOJA Arts Festival 2019 Juried Art Exhibition in Charleston, SC with her original oil grisaille portrait of Aretha Franklin entitled, “Respect”, and with Art Appalachia: 2020 Juried Art Exhibition at The Floyd Center for the Arts with her original oil “Mr. Elijah’s Masterpiece”.
