The 2026 Floyd Artisan Trail returns June 20 & 21, inviting visitors to explore Floyd County’s vibrant creative community through a free, self-guided tour of open studios and creative spaces.
Throughout the weekend, artists across the county will open their doors to share their work, processes, and stories. Visitors can experience Floyd’s creativity up close by meeting artists, watching demonstrations, shopping for one-of-a-kind handmade art, and participating in hands-on workshops offered at select studios along the Trail.
We’re proud to welcome event chairs Wendy Werstlein and Carrie Gault, both talented artists and long-time artisans on the Trail. Their deep connection to the Trail and to Floyd’s creative community brings fresh energy to this beloved event.
✨ What’s new for 2026: This year’s Trail includes artist-led workshops during the tour, reduced artist fees, a new Emerging Artist category, a Trail exhibition at the Floyd Center for the Arts, and the addition of Artful Adventure Partners - local farms, restaurants, shops, lodging, and entertainment venues that help create a richer, more immersive experience for visitors exploring Floyd County during Trail weekend.

Join the 2026 Floyd Artisan Trail and be part of a beloved, self-guided studio tour celebrating creativity across Floyd County. Participating artists are featured in Trail marketing, included in the Trail exhibition at the Floyd Center for the Arts, and may offer workshops at their studios during the tour.

I read the post about the 16th annual Floyd Artisan Trail and thought it was really cool how artists all around Floyd County open their studios and creative spaces for a free self-guided weekend tour so everyone can meet makers, watch demos, and enjoy handmade art up close. It reminded me of a time I was so swamped with school that I even signed up for an online finance class between art breaks just to keep up with work and still enjoy local events. That mix of learning and creativity made me see how good experiences come from balancing fun and focus.
