Carding Wool to Spin: Tools, Techniques and Rolags

Taking a washed fleece from the lock to the rolag. The student will learn an effective and ergonomic method of comb handling to produce a consistent fiber preparation. They will learn which types of fleece and wool are best suited to the combing process and how to prepare the fleece for combing. The class will spin their prepared fiber. Nothing is required, all fiber and tools will be provided. If a student wants to bring their own combs and fiber they are encouraged to do so. Ensure tools are marked and fiber is clean. Material fee of $15 paid directly to the intructor.
