About the Instructor

Local artist and Roanoke native Kaydee Pickle, is always adding plenty of color! Her favorite color is purple, but she pledges an unending allegiance to the whole rainbow. Even before the age of four, she had begun cultivating a life of art. Receiving countless awards and 1st place honors all throughout her school years, Kaydee now naturally thrives in a wide spectrum of artistry. The Heartworks Company is her business title under which she operates eclectically. Passion is poured into both 2 and 3 dimensional artwork such as murals, interactive installations, landscape and portrait paintings, sculpture, collage work, card making, restoration and concept pieces, as well as event aesthetics. This range is accomplished with her knowledgeable utilization of a wide variety of mixed-media. Kaydee has instructed over 100,000 people in SWVA on the basics of painting as well as other art forms in the last decade, and has served as the Art Director for a variety of community events. She is especially joyful about sharing a piece of her heART with everyone attending sessions at Floyd Center for the Arts!
