Clay Before You Croak! (CER-090724-3)

You will learn how to sculpt a toad in clay! Along the way, you will be able to wedge clay, shape it symmetrically, make slip, hollow and vent, paint with underglaze, and finally glaze. No Fear. You do not need to draw or paint. Anyone can do this with a step by step process. Your instructor will be there to keep you on track and ensure a wonderful result. There will be time to start a second toad of your choice. You will walk away with up to 2 finished toads, all designed, handsculpted, and painted by you! This is perfect for those interested in learning more about sculpture work and how to create forms. After this class, you will have the skills to work independently in the Open Ceramics Studio.
