Class Description
Beginner Stained Glass introduces participants to the peculiar properties of glass, the three categories of glass and the uses for each. Class members will learn the steps and tools in creating a small glass suncatcher. They will also learn to score and break glass safely and correctly. In creating their project, class members will learn how to plan for their completed project by: creating a cartoon and pattern tracing their patterns onto glass, scoring and breaking the glass, smoothing and foiling the edges, soldering the pieces together and completeing the project for hanging in a window. Class members will be introduced to each stage of this process as a group but will progress through class sessions individually.

About the Instructor
Linda took her first class in stained glass way back in the latter half of the twentieth century. She loved working with glass so much that she had her own business creating original glass pieces for the next decade. After teaching middle school for 20+ years, she retired and returned to her studio to create glass pieces again.
