Class Description
Samplers were mainly school exercises during the 18th and 19th centuries and were almost entirely worked in cross stitch. Join us for simple stitches as we explore cross stitching. Our initials make each of us beautiful and unique as does the art of cross stitch so lets combine the two to create our initials. Students will learn the basics of cross stitching, including assembling their fabric in embroidery hoops, threading needles, creating stitches, knotting, etc. This class will be a continuation to finish the project from the previous week. Age requirement is enforced, any student younger than 6 must have a parent/guardian accompanying them for the duration of the class.
