A Gift for Mom! Transfer Dye on Silk Scarves - Ages 8 & Up
with Linda Osborne
As a result of the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, this session of this class has been canceled.
We look forward to providing future class offerings as soon as possible.
This class will use men’s silk ties for the color and patterns to be transferred onto white silk scarves instead of dyes. We will be using a steam setting technique that will set the color and patterns permanently onto the silk. All materials will be provided but if you have ties that you would like to use please bring them to class. Be advised that we will cut and disassemble them so they will no longer be useful as ties to wear. Some people have used ties that have a sentimental value such as a father or grandparents ties, these make nice gifts and memories if you are so inclined. You will be provided 3 scarves to work with in class. One habotai silk, one chiffon silk, your choice for the third scarf. I will also have extra scarves available for purchase should you want to make more than three scarves already provided for the class.
Ages 8 and Above, Adult
