New Work Exhibit
What have you been up to this year?
The Floyd Center for the Arts wants to see what you’ve been working on this year!
We invite you to show off your newest creations.
This yearly exhibit is a continuing reflection of the artistic growth within our community. All media welcome. Artwork must have been created within the last year and not previously shown at the Center.
Entries: Please mail the second page of this form to The Floyd Center for the Arts, 220 Parkway Lane South, Suite 1, Floyd VA 24091, OR email the form to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please submit digital images (jpeg files, no larger than 1MB) along with the information required on the application form. Label all picture files with the artist name.
Entry Fee: A non-refundable application fee of $25/members, $35/non-members is required. This fee includes up to 3 submissions. Applications must be received no later than Friday, September 13, 2019.
Selection: The Gallery Committee will review all entries and reserves the right to withhold entries from the exhibition. Notification of results will be sent out by Monday, September 23, 2019 by phone or e-mail.
Delivery and Pickup of work: Accepted work must be delivered to the Center on Monday, October 7, 11am-4pm or Tuesday, October 8, 10am-1pm. Work must be retrieved Monday December 1 or Tuesday December 2, 11am-4pm.
Each piece of work must be permanently identified on the back with title and artist. Wall art must be fitted with wire or other means for secure hanging. Gallery staff will not prepare work for hanging. Sawtooth hangers are NOT acceptable.
A “People’s Choice” award of $50 will be awarded. The public will be invited to vote for their favorite piece. The winner will be announced after the end of the exhibit.
Sales: A 30% commission for members and 40% for nonmembers will be charged for all sales by the gallery. Sales tax will be collected and reported by The Center.
